Does FaceTite Really Work?

At some point, everyone’s face loses its tight, lifted appearance. These changes that come with age are perfectly natural, but if you feel better with younger-looking skin, why not do something about it?

At Legacy Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics in Exton, PA, we want all of our patients to love what they see when they look in the mirror. So we offer a wide range of procedures that can restore your skin’s youthful look, provided by our expert team of plastic surgeons.

If you’re ready to love your reflection again but not ready for a facelift, then FaceTite may be the solution you’re seeking to restore smoother, tighter skin.

What Is FaceTite?

FaceTite by InMode is a revolutionary, minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that addresses skin sagging and definition loss on the face and neck. These procedures also target fat accumulation and collagen depletion, actively improving skin’s texture, structure, and elasticity.

FaceTite uses radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL) to offer dramatic results without the extensive recovery and expense of surgery. With FaceTite’s Embrace RF device, our team can eliminate fat, tighten loose skin and enhance the face’s natural contours.

How Does FaceTite Work?

FaceTite by InMode’s effectiveness starts with a basic concept: skin will tighten with thermal energy. Using RFAL technology, FaceTite procedures deliver radiofrequency energy to the face, heating fat and skin tissue.

Since fat is more sensitive to heat than skin, the heat destroys fat cells while triggering skin tightening contractions. The FaceTite procedure boosts the body’s healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production. The boosted and extended collagen production also lifts and tightens the skin, offering natural skin rejuvenation.

What Does FaceTite Treat?

With age, some of the most common skin concerns are sagging jowls and double chins. FaceTite is easily the best minimally invasive treatment that addresses these issues. Other skin concerns that FaceTite targets include sagging and crepey skin. FaceTite treats the following aesthetic concerns and areas:

  • Lowered eyebrows
  • Drooping eyelids
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Under the chin
  • Cheeks
  • Jowls
  • Neck

A FaceTite procedure is the recommended non-surgical option for patients who aren’t ready for a facelift or neck lift.

What Happens During a FaceTite Procedure?

Patients seeking the skin tightening and shaping benefits of a FaceTite procedure should aim for the best results by working with our skilled plastic surgeons at Legacy Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics. While FaceTite isn’t surgery, working with an experienced surgeon offers an ideal outcome.

Before your FaceTite treatment, we’ll apply a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. Once the anesthesia activates, our surgeon will make a tiny incision, which serves as the access point to the targeted area.

Next, we will insert the small FaceTite device that transmits the radiofrequency waves. The device travels below the skin into the subcutaneous tissue, where collagen resides and fat is stored.

The FaceTite device includes two probes: one travels below the skin, and one sits above the skin. The probes deliver radiofrequency energy between one another, heating fat and tightening the skin through RFAL. A separate tube will suction the fat melted by RFAL, now in liquid form.

Throughout the procedure, sensors monitor the temperature to ensure effective and safe results.

In addition to the immediate benefits of less fat and tighter skin, the radiofrequency energy will trigger the body to produce more collagen, resulting in a smoother, younger, tighter appearance.

The entire FaceTite procedure takes only a few hours, and patients can return home that day.

What to Expect from FaceTite Procedure Recovery

After your FaceTite skin tightening procedure, we advise wearing a compression garment for 48-72 hours. We’ll change your dressing during your follow-up appointment, typically scheduled for 24 hours after the procedure.

For optimal results, you should continue to wear your compression garment at home and overnight for the week following your procedure. While you may experience post-procedure swelling, that should subside within three to four days.

Both the FaceTite procedure and the recovery are short, and most patients return to work once the swelling declines and resume most normal activities immediately. However, our team does advise patients to refrain from particularly strenuous activities for about two weeks post-treatment.

When Will I See Results?

Some FaceTite results will be apparent immediately after your procedure. However, it can take your skin a few days to recover. Give yourself a couple of days for the swelling to decline and the creation of new collagen to naturally begin its skin tightening effects.

In the weeks and months after your FaceTite treatment, your skin will gradually improve, revealing a tighter, smoother, and younger-looking face and neck. After realizing the full results of their FaceTite procedure, many patients appear at least five years younger.

Who Is a Good Candidate for FaceTite?

Legacy Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics often recommends FaceTite procedures for patients who want to reverse the appearance of facial aging but who aren’t ready for surgery.

Most candidates for FaceTite are in their 40s and 50s and starting to see more signs of facial aging. These signs include skin laxity, fat deposits in the jowls and under the chin, and a loss of definition in the jawline and neck.

Other candidates for FaceTite are those who have already had a facelift or neck lift but are looking to restore their skin’s tight appearance years after their initial surgery. They may be older patients who want to avoid general anesthesia.

FaceTite’s unique RFAL methodology allows the procedure to work on almost all skin types. However, your eligibility requires the input of a skilled plastic surgeon.
