5 Popular Facelift Trends of 2021

As you get older, your skin begins to sag and lose tightness. This is a normal part of the aging process, but it does not have to be permanent. Facelift surgery (rhytidectomy) tightens and firms your facial tissues to make you look more youthful.

At Legacy Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics we are proud to offer a multitude of different facelifts. During your consultation, we will go over all of your options and help you decide what will help you achieve the results you desire. Here are some of the Facelift procedures we offer:

Traditional Facelift

A traditional facelift procedure lifts and tightens all of your face and neck tissues into a firm covering. The surgery addresses common aging concerns, like sagging cheek skin and jowls.

During this procedure, the surgeon will pull excess facial skin, muscle, and other connective tissues back toward the corners of your face. The traditional “full” facelift procedure also removes excess skin and fat on your neck to lift it and make it tighter. The results are a defined jawline and a tight, firm.

Mini Facelift

A mini facelift is an anti-aging surgery that treats specific trouble spots on your face and gives you a more youthful appearance. If you struggle with drooping neck skin or jowls, a mini facelift might be just what you need. Since a mini facelift only targets specific areas of your face, recovery time after this cosmetic procedure is relatively short.

Mini facelifts are an excellent preventative measure for younger patients who notice early signs of aging and want to tighten their facial skin without undergoing a “full” face lift procedure. This modified version of the traditional facelift can treat problem areas before they worsen due to age.

Mid-Facelift

The mid-facelift, sometimes called a cheek lift, addresses signs of aging from the upper mouth to the eye area (i.e., the middle of the face). During this cosmetic procedure, your surgeon will pull the skin around your cheeks and lower eyelids back to tighten it over your cheekbones. The result is a more youthful-looking (“snapped back”) appearance and prouder cheekbones. The mid-facelift will also help smooth out fine lines and wrinkles in your skin.

If you notice mid-face aging but are otherwise satisfied with your facial appearance, a mid-facelift might be the right choice for you.

SMAS Lift

SMAS stands for “superficial musculo-aponeurotic system”. This type of facelift tightens the connective tissue underneath your first layers of skin (fascia) to restore its youthful quality and produce a lifted appearance.

This cosmetic procedure addresses the underlying structure of your skin and provides incredible, long-lasting results. The SMAS facelift is a highly effective choice for patients who need a lot of lifting and toning.

FaceTite Lift

FaceTite is a facelift technology by InMode that combines fat reduction and skin tightening to give your face a more contoured, tone appearance. This minimally invasive facelift option is for patients who have mild signs of aging. FaceTite targets the lower areas of your face using radiofrequency waves and small needle pricks to stimulate collagen production.

The result is a tighter, more youthful skin appearance. If you are looking for a minimally invasive option, FaceTite might be right for you.
